Free September/October 2014 School Holiday Program

Factor10 Martial Arts Strathpine is pleased to provide a wonderful opportunity for children from local schools to access FREE Martial Arts classes over the school holidays.
There are classes for the 4-6 year old age group, our “Little Legends” classes, and there are classes for 7-13 year olds, called our “Junior Martial Arts” classes.

About the Program
Factor10 Martial Arts is a local martial arts academy that aims to make a real difference in children’s lives through developing their confidence, listening and concentration skills and their ability to persist. We’re an academy that values education.
Mr O, founder of Factor10 Martial Arts, is a registered school teacher in Queensland and knows the wonderful difference an experience in the Martial Arts can make to a child in developing academic, social and physical skills.
Our FREE school holiday program is designed to give every child an equal opportunity to access the Martial Arts in a very professional environment.
Factor10 Martial Arts empowers children with confidence and self esteem through age appropriate techniques that will help them recognise and avoid bullying, and if all other reasonable options have been exhausted, how to protect and defend themselves from serious physical harm.

What Do We Need to Bring?
Children will be training in bare feet so just wear foot wear that’s easy to take off and leave on the edge of the mats. Make sure to wear something comfortable for training like shorts and T Shirt and don’t forget to bring a drink bottle. No safety equipment is required in the FREE School Holiday program.
What If We Want to Know More?
Factor10 staff will be available to answer any questions you may have about this exciting Martial Arts experience. We’ll be offering an information session for all parents / carers at the start of the first class. The children will get started with their training and parents can feel free to spend some time hearing about Factor10, what other classes we offer and what the process is if you want to continue training after the school holidays. There’s no pressure to continue training as this program is a genuinely FREE program however some families like to get more information in case they decide to more Marital Arts training.

What’s it About?
Over the coming school holidays Factor10 Martial Arts is offering a FREE school holidays program for children from local schools who have not done Martial Arts before. This is part of a promotion that Factor10 is running over the school holidays for children who may otherwise never have an opportunity to train in the Martial Arts. Some children do not get the opportunity to try a sport like Martial Arts for many reasons, for example, financial hardship, or because they just have never had the opportunity to have a go at Martial Arts.
This schools program is not for current Factor10 members as all the people participating in this program will be beginners.
Class Schedule Over The School Holidays
If you are a Little Legends or a Junior White or Yellow belt student, and if you normally attend the afternoon classes, there will be no interruption to your normal classes. The only difference is that you will see additional classes running before your normal scheduled classes.
What Do I Have to Do?
There is nothing you need to do – just come to your normal classes and tell any new people you meet what a wonderful place Factor10 is to learn Martial Arts. You might even like to tell your friends about the FREE classes over the holidays.
