Nobody Likes a Quitter!

There’s one parenting skill that will make
the biggest difference  – and that’s
teaching your child not to be a quitter.

I was talking to one of the Little Legend mums
the other day and she asked me to help her
to get her child to stay on the mats to do the class.

The little guy had just begun classes and he was
really testing mum and dad at the moment.

Ever seen that happen?

“Do you really want me to help or just be
there?”  I asked

“I really want help, and my husband and I are on
the same page on this as we really want him to
stick at things … and learn some discipline …”

“Well done” I thought.

So I helped her that day, I took charge and got this
little guy (who was so testing his boundaries and
really trying it on) and I got him onto the mats, and
got things happening.

And next week I’ll do the same.

But where’s this story really going?

It’s very simple.  To get our children
to stick at things, we have to teach them to stick at
things, and to teach them the best way is experiential
learning.

That means you need to expose your
child to different experiences that “stretch” them
both physically and mentally.

And there’s a great event coming up that you can
really use to stretch your child.
