Another of Master O’s Smoothie Recipes!

I often get people asking me what they can do on the run, what they can eat that won’t slow them down and make them feel like they cant take on the day’s challenges; and above all, something that’s healthy and gives them a sense that they are actually looking after themselves.

Getting to mid afternoon to attempt a late lunch, and worse still, nothing after breakfast until the evening meal, is a recipe for disaster when it comes to managing weight.

So why not try my morning tea smoothie?

Master O’S Morning Tea Smoothie
One of the best things you can have in the kitchen is a machine that will make a smoothie for you in seconds, and mine has a cup that is just the right size that I can screw on the lid and take it with me .. in the car .. back to my desk .. out in the year .. wherever i might be heading.  Check out EBay for some little bargains delivered right to your door, or visit your local supermarket – you’ll never look back.

A quick tip – make sure the container that it gets made in has a screw top lid that you can use to drink out of so you don’t have to put it in another cup, and make sure the machine is powerful enough to do the job … there’s some nasty cheapies out there:(

There are no strict measurements for this one (it’s really what will fit into the smoothie cup) and you may want to alter the proportions of each ingredient.  To be honest, I don’t measure anything, but rather just pop the item in and turn on the machine.

Another of Master O’s Banana Berry Smoothie Recipes
1/2 cup milk (can substitute juice of any sort, water, soy milk … up to you)
1/2 banana
1/2 cup spoon rolled oats
3/4 cup frozen berries
1 fresh egg (or substitute with vanilla protein powder)
1 desert spoon vanilla protein powder (if you’re working out and need more protein)
heaped tea spoon bran
desert spoon LSA (Linseed, Sunflower and Almond  … purchase from supermarket)
a couple of walnuts
a squeeze of honey
a good sprinkle of nutmeg
a generous sprinkle of cinnamon
a couple of pieces of fruit you may have (I like some rock melon and paw paw)

Turn on the smoothie machine, pop on a lid, and there’s a healthy morning tea.

Of course (the usual waiver) please see your doctor if you are not sure if these ingredients are not right for you 🙂

Have a great Morning Tea – try a cup of green tea with it if you can sit down to enjoy this delicious taste sensation.
