Poomse Success!

A very special congratulations to Stephanie Hodges and Maddy Houston who competed in Poomse competition at the Sports Taekwondo Australia national championships in Melbourne on the weekend of 24 to 26 September. Maddy and Steph competed in Poomse in the 14-17division with Maddy taking silver and Steph bronze.
On 9 October members of our Factor10 Talent ID sparring team participated in a tournament at Springwood on Brisbane’s south side. Members enjoyed 2 matches each with real excitement enjoyed by all with their introduction to the new electronic scoring chest guards that we expect to see used at the 2012 London Olympic games.
The players really noticed how difficult it was to score given a much greater impact and pinpoint accuracy being required to score a point. Sparring team members were Oliver Clarke, Dom Palleschi, Caitlin Paleschi, Zak Streeter, Lachlan Juric, Jordan Cushing, Aidan Butlin and Maddy Houston. The Poomse team was Maddy Houston and Steph Hodges. The crowd paid close attention to our Poomse specialists during their superb performances.
