Sunday 5 February 2012
The Oceania Taekwondo Union and Sports Taekwondo Australia are hosting a Poomse Judge course from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 February 2012. This course is to prepare Poomse Judges to accredit them to judge at local, state and national Poomse competition events. Friday night is from 6.00 to 9.00pm and Saturday is from 8am to 5pm.
The Course is being held at Sports House Milton (Corner Castlemaine and Caxton Streets) and promises to be an extraordinary development opportunity for Queensland and interstate/internaitonal Poomse judges and coaches.
Master David Warren, International WTF Poomse Judge, and OTU/STA accredited presenter, will deliver the program. The WTF introduced a significant update on rules in October 2011 and so this program is an absolute must for all Poomse enthusiasts.
The Sunday program is Poomse Rankings day at Factor10 Strathpine from 9am to 3pm. This is a Poomse rankings competition event to enable participants gain rankings for national training squad selection. The event is also open to other younger Poomse athletes to test their scores for development. Judges from the Friday evening and Saturday Poomse judge course being held at Sports House Milton will also seek practical assessment at the event while being supervised by National and International judges.
