Academy Sparring Tournament – Top Class Action!Sunday, 12 August 2007
The Academy sparring tournament on 12 August proved to be an extraordinary performance of full contact sparring skills with 4 Black Belt divisions,5 Yellow Belt divisions, 9 Blue Belt divisions, 4 Red Belt divisions and 1 “Little Legends” division. The competitors fought off in a round robin fighting format so that each player could test their sparring skills against every other person in their division. The day concluded with a team sparring event where each division played a round robin event against every other division in their belt level. The competition started with player registration at 8am and matches commencing at 8.30am. The last fights of the team sparring round robin comp wrapped upat around 1pm in the afternoon. A special thanks to our extraordinary officials, coaches and referees who, along with the players and mums and dads, made the event top class.
