The application package has just been released for the Academy Sparring Championships being held on Sunday 12 August from 8am to 1pm at Strathpine. This Championship has sparring events – individual and team sparring – with a round robin contest enabling competitors a chance to participate in many matches across the morning giving them a chance to try new stuff. The team events prove to be as exciting as ever with teams competing on an accumulative score basis.
Referees, Volunteers and Coaches will undergo preparation training from 9am to 11am on the previous Saturday – 4 August – to ensure the event runs like clock work.Parents and other members interested in Officiating and Assisting can email the academy to register your interest. There is no charge for the Saturday training and development program and gives parents a chance to be a part of their child’s sport when acting in a support role. Go team!
